Beer, Bulls, and Brunch

Weekend ... Went well.
I went home Friday night, convinced Rich I wanted to go to the bar. Hated the horrible karaoke (the same five singers just kept singing and they were my parents age) and decided to find another bar. Got there just before 1am, and even with people inside, the bar was locked. Last call is normally 2am on a Friday, my thoughts were WTF?! I was a bit pissed, but called it a night and went home.

Saturday, I did my running around. Picked up the necklace I had had made for my mom. She went with me, so surprise was almost ruined. Gary did a great job of trying to convince my mom to walk around and look. Only half worked because I told her to go look around and instead she told the lady she was told to "get lost". I only got to see the guy for a little bit. Around 5 stolen minutes in Pappey's backyard and a hug good bye on a back country road. I need found the Mack Arena, because Rich wanted to know where it was and what it was all about. Just like normal, the cowboys (or so they think they are) couldn't stay on the bulls. Some of them don't look good in tight pants. Even the jackpot round wasn't very good. Its just not the same as a 'real rodeo', that's for sure. Last weekend is half price and the last weekend in May.

Sunday was telling dad he was buying lunch for mom, giving her the necklace she didn't expect. She wore it all day, I wasn't sure of how she really felt about it but she seemed to like it. She ended up paying for the movie and my gas, because like a dummy I left my purse hanging on the chair at home. I paid her back when we got home. She loved the movie and the time together. As did I. Even if you think it would be dorky, the Knowing with Nicolas Cage is really good! A bit weird but good!

And a late night doing homework ended the weekend.

Sarah and I saw Knowing. She liked it. I decided it was the story of Adam and Eve retold with aliens. It was fine until the aliens showed up. Then the whole movie became hackneyed deus ex machina crap.

It's not bravery dear. It's bravado. He thinks I'm nuts! I have my chem teacher's number now. I called to tell him that my reading time was interrupted so my lab report worksheet was gonna be late because I had to finish my book! He totally tried to stay on the telly with me.
