Weirdness

Addition: I have decided that it is both wrong and weird that we think its beautiful outside when its 93. Its just the right kind of temperature. Just right for a long walk, and a little bit more time outside.

Its been a bit of a weird day today. Started out that way and just continued.

It started out with a light that wouldn't let us turn left. I wasn't the only one that it wouldn't let through, but after sitting through 3 lights that never changed, I pulled back into the straight lane and went a different way. Before I got to work, I just stated to the air "Its gonna be a weird day".

I didn't have much to do at work, but I kept myself busy. Caught up on the news. And bothered the boys a bit. Sergey and Brian came to get me before the tour and let me carpool over with them. The tour was a little boring but neat. We got to see the body laser image thing, and the motion sensors room. That was cool! The last room was more like what we get to work on every day. Computer cad, only with actual full mock ups.

We grabbed lunch and it started to rain. Got back, and then the power went, just long enough to shut all our computers off. Went and talked to the guys for a bit until things were back up and running. I added the other co-ops to my communicator messenger system. So Steve and I had a funny little conversation about now I was going to be in his computer too. I got called a commie sympathizer because I didn't think him sending Sergey over would do him any good.

Then I walked over to talk to Michelle .... It was funny yet weird again. I won't go into details at all. Talked to Sergey, at least I'm not the only one that would love Moon the movie. I told him it was really good, and he was disappointed he wasn't here for it!

And the night goes on. Went for a walk. Saw people on a tandem bike. And it was brewing a bad storm.

[wipes sweat from forehead]

106 today ....just another hot day in the many days to come. its hotter than its been since like 1920s .... so shit happens.

First week over .... It was fun and rather boring. As of right now, there are 11 co-ops/interns working just in my contract. I've met a few of them, not all yet. I have a cube to myself, so i don't have to deal with sitting with the same boys again. Steve is a little more like Jarod than I would have liked but still a little more polite. Sergey on the other hand, is really polite and a nice guy. Also, very easy to talk to. He tried to teach me about computers, and picked out a really nice replacement for this thing, when I can afford $1100 for a new computer. Damn, it was a good one too. He's a gamer, so he knows his stuff about computers!

Anyways ... not much new or time to really do much. I'm taking a class on line, I have a few assignments due each week and a few projects to do as well.

Michelle, Brian, his girlfriend, Alex, Sergey, and I went to see the fireworks at the boardwalk last Friday. Sergey didn't expect to see me, but I live like a mile away. It was a good time. Sergey enjoyed taking pictures, and I enjoyed the boats. We went for drinks and then after a bit more talking and hanging out went our separate ways for the night.

Anyways, posts might be a bit far apart, because I don't really bother to update anymore. I will do my best to keep on top of the adventure blog at least, but I guarantee nothing else. Because the important things will be passed on in regular aim conversations. Sounds good? Good! A couple of you know my secrets .... I refuse to post here. just in case.

Tia, just feel free to call! :) Miss you guys. But I'm readjusting well, just not to the 100+ degree weather that has been here since I got here. It literally has been under 100 like 1 day since I got here. And living back at Besty's is great! I did miss having her to talk to. And it was really empty since she was in Denver my first week at work. She's back now, and its been fun!

Home Sweet Fourth Home

Made it to Kemah! I'm glad to be back. Betsy sat and caught up a bit before heading to bed. I'll spend my first week here alone again though, she's going to Denver. Its kinda a scary idea, but I'll survive. She also left at least 6 Sam Adam's and a 6 pack of mixed somethings in the fridge she insists she won't be drinking any time soon. Went and got some food from Wal Mart. I'm ready for the beginning of the week now I think.

Tomorrow Mom and I will head to the zoo. And Saturday is Galveston and Froberg's farm for the veggies and sausage. Its great being back. I didn't realize I would miss it so, but it seems I really did. Class starts Monday. And my book isn't here yet.

Also, grades are all up finally. I got a 3.588 for the quarter bringing my GPA overall to a 3.143. Good, but I had hoped for better. Another year will pass before I have the oppertunity to request a review of my scholarship, and that's only if I continue to work my tail off each quarter to raise my GPA even more. I'm also no longer in Honors. Couldn't make the GPA afterall. Well, I will get to return to Lockheed and that's the main good thing of this! I didn't want to have to find a new job.

day 2

So another day on the road. Had great fried chicken. had the same waitress as 6 months ago. She was so nice. Mom left a nice tip. We drove by Beale street then stopped down by the Mississippi river. It was pretty cool. Long drive though. I gave up the wheel at one point and feel asleep while mom headed to Little Rock. We are now around 100 miles east of Dallas, and will drive down to Dallas tomorrow then down to Houston. Should be there tomorrow. :) I miss you guys already though.

Oh, the drive. Its long and kind of boring. But we made it farther than I thought we would.
Just really really tired.
Missed Jimmy's party, but stopped to say good bye. Hope it went well! :)

Zoo Trip

The zoo opens up around 9am, I wouldn't mind being there shortly after they open just to be able to enjoy the time and the fewer amount of people. The first time I went to the zoo, it took about 2 hours to go through, but that was only because I only had 2 hours, so I quickly saw most of it. If we take our time, it might take 3 hours or so. They just got a few things re-build/re-modeled so there might be a few extras. Not sure. If we go in the morning we could still be out for a late lunch.

I'll be in the new apartment by then, if all goes well.... but if I need to, I can come down to Wesley to get you, its not that far away. And I'm not entirely sure how to get to the zoo from the new place anyways.

Anyone else is more than invited to come along, just let me know. Rachel might also join us. :)

Saturday ... Heading home to spend time and say good bye again.

Tuesday ... heading back to Texas.

Bewilderment

I'm still bewildered by the end to last night. I had such a great time with Johanna and Dustin and the other girls that went. I'm still learning their names. I think I just had a beer too many even though I stopped around 12:30, I didn't realize how drunk I still was until I went to lay down at 2. I got really tired and decided to go down and wait for the shuttle, that never seems to run on time. Caught the shuttle back thinking only 3 of us, this shouldn't be bad until we filled the fucking shuttle with foreign students who just got really really loud. I don't think anyone could actually move there were so many people in the shuttle. I got back exhausted, with a slight headache and this weird feeling of loneliness. I don't really know where it came from outside of maybe the fact that I ended up hanging out with a few couples all evening. I don't know, but I'm still bewildered that I ended the night a little upset drinking like 4 glasses of water before laying down to sleep and dieing. I'm still tired, but I'll be up a good part of the day I think. With that project to finish.

Italianfest!

I'm not always proud of what I've done ... But I don't regret any of it.

I wonder from time to time if what I did was right for different things, but all in all, I'm okay with what has happened throughout my life. I've made some enemies and I've made some friends. It happens. I can live with it. So when I do something that seems stupid to others, I may just need to learn my own lessons with life. You can't hate me forever. Oh, well I guess if you can hold a grudge, you can, but I'm not a bad person.

This is just me thinking again when I should be sleeping. I don't regret anything. I've learned a lot about myself and who I am. Deal with it!

Zoo Trip still on?

So, I was thinking. I do still want to go to the zoo, but at this point, I'm not sure when it will work out until after my finals. I'd say tomorrow after I get outta class, but we are doing our Design project after class. There just won't be enough time to really enjoy the zoo. Then Saturday is gonna be a busy day with moving, finishing the project paperwork, and beginning to study as well as sleeping.

Next week, I have my Numerical Analysis Final on Monday ... 9:45 to 11:45
I have my Thermodynamics 2 Final on Tuesday ... 9:45 to 11:45
I have my Measurements and Machine Design Finals on Wednesday ... 9:45 to 11:45 and 12:00 to 2:00 respectively.

So I could go after my exams Wednesday or Thursday or Friday preferably in the morning. There are fewer people in the morning besides being a little cooler so more animals might be out and about. What do you say Tia? Which can you make it to Cincy for, or will I be heading there alone? Anyone else who would like to go, say so.

Analysis Rewind

Okay, so I did talk to Seth. Seems we've both just been way to busy for our own good. And he said he saw how I could be wondering what might have gone wrong. Not sure if we'll get to see each other before I leave, but might be good. I did really get to missing conversations and random fun times with him. We'll see how it all goes. He's going back to school for welding, and hopefully later on underwater welding. Encourage. I hope I didn't upset him by texting him and asking him what happened, because I never talk to him and I missed it. But hopefully its all good.
