Didn't know if anyone would really care, but I had a decent weekend.
Friday night I got talked into going paint balling on Saturday morning. Lockheed Martin vs. Oceanerring. Lockheed had a lot of newbies. Oceanerring had a lot of normals. Yet, it was kind of a draw on the wins. One of our managers went. That was kind of funny! I got my first full direct hit after I was already out of a game and just hanging on the side lines. Sergey's pretty good at it. I liked to hide. :) I got hit on the head at one point. It really hurt! and I called it a game after that. Its still a rather large knot on my head. In the last game i took 3 right in a row to the same spot. Oh damn the bruise I got. It still hurts to touch it in anyway, and its right where my pants normally sit. It was fun, and I'd love to do it again! Just not when its that hot out!
Sunday, I finished up my homework and Michelle and I went to see "Phantom of the Opera". As I have never seen the whole thing, I had no idea what to expect and was a little upset with the ending. I like happy endings but I just kind of ended with a stunned face and pure enjoyment. I LOVED it!
Got my car fixed today. An injector coil was going bad. Car works great now! I do love my Clarence boy.
Friday is "Splashdown" the Celebration at Space Center Houston. :)
Sunday is us finding the Military Museum! Turns out Michelle and Sergey don't find it weird, like so many others, that I love guns, tanks, planes, rockets, and stars. But I do! And it may end in a few adventures to some pretty neat places. I have about 2 months to go on this co-op. Alex and Sergey and Steve have about a month. I'm gonna miss them! :(

Oh the Joys!
I can't help but say, YESTERDAY WAS AWESOME! I mean, except for the getting yelled at when I finally got back to work.
We had a tour of the simulator building yesterday. It was meant to last 2 hours, we got back after 4 hours. The guy showed us the room with the computers that the workers can through all the twists at the astronauts while they are training. If its gone wrong before, they have to be able to deal with the same situation. Then he showed us the "motionless" simulator. Its used to learn the controls. You can land the "bird" but you don't feel anything different. It made me dizzy since I wasn't moving with it while watching someone else.
I took all kinds of pictures. I'll eventually do about this same entry on the adventure blog. and put the pictures up on photobucket. Just give me time.
But they let us do the "motion" simulator too! They sent us through an accent sequence. Its a sit back and watch. Its awesome! But then they also let us each try to land it! I was first up for my group. I thought for sure I would crash it. Yet, I landed that "bird"! And I landed the shuttle with little trouble. Its a "follow the diamond with the square" set up. When the instructor brought out our value print outs, he told me as he pointed out one value "Only pilots manage that kind of a value, you did a great job". He seemed rather happy I had done so well.
I was super excited! Though I got in trouble it had taken so long when I got back to work. I had a document that was rather important. Yet, the lady told me to go and enjoy. She was excited I got to land the simulator.
And at the end of the day, I got to talk Michelle into going to see Harry Potter. I rather loved the movie! So it was a great night. Late, but great. And its the first time I have ever walked to my car from work with my knife fully drawn and at the ready. I was the only one left in the parking lot that late, and the lights aren't great.
Oh, the smile on my face when I went to bed!
And my buddy is back again. Though we both hate what we get stuck with at times. I got handed a document today at 5pm and told it has be updated and back to someone by noon tomorrow and released by 5pm tomorrow. All I really like, is having at least 2 days to fix things like that. I hate that feeling of rush. Since I not only have that document but the other one I was working on, both due tomorrow! And the project update for the project I am basically updating on my own. All before noon! Can I please just curl up and cry now! But dinner in Alvin Texas at a BBQ place where its all you can eat seafood and warm cobbler! Woo!

Only Once .....
Just once in my life, I want to fit in. I want to belong with the people I'm with. I want to be in the conversation completely with them. I want to get the respect I give. I want to be understood and not looked at as if I'm not gonna be able to fit there ....
And the chance to see Buzz Aldrin talk tonight went badly by having way too many people show up and we couldn't get in. .......................
I now have a headache, I feel like dinner is going to come back up .... and I really really want to cry. Tonight didn't go as I hoped it might. I still don't belong, and I never will I guess .... time for a new city?

Labor Day Travels
Just a heads up to those that want to know. I bought my plane ticket home today for Labor Day weekend. I have been looking forward to coming home for the fireworks since like March (until reciently, but I will keep my promise).
Now ... if you care to know the schedule:
Sept 4th: I fly out of George Bush International at 7:35pm Local and arrive at CVG at 10:57pm Local. Its a non-stop flight (oh thank god). Kathy will be picking me up from the airport and hopefully running me up to Dayton so I can see my mom and dad. I'll spend Saturday at home with family and those friends that want to hang a bit.
Sunday afternoon, I'll have to find a ride South to Cincy for the fireworks. That night will be spent at the apartment I assume. I have all day Monday to be around the friends in Cincy or just hanging at the apartment. I won't have a vehicle so I'm at the mercy of others and buses if I do anything.
Monday night I'll spend at Kathy's. I'll have to be up showered and as if ready for work Tuesday morning. Flight leaves CVG at 9:00am (local) sharp! I will arrive back at IAH (Bush) around 10:32am local. From there, I'll retrieve my car and head to work. That's my half a day for the week.
Anyways .... I followed through with my plan, and we'll see how it all goes. Funny thing, flying nonstop to CVG is about the same price if not cheaper than a 1 stop flight to Dayton. It works out good to have nonstop back to Houston for work on Tuesday. And it was less than $250 for the round trip flight.

Hmm ... being here is giving me way more time to think than I would like. And I have been putting my mind through hoops hoping what I'm thinking is wrong. But I don't know.
And let me just say, I'm learning lessons I hoped I would never have learn. And I don't like it.
And I really miss having someone to talk to at work. I am going to try not to bother him though, when he gets back.

Freedom over Texas
Well, I hope everyone else is going to have a good day with family or friends.
I am gonna wonder into Downtown Houston for the Freedom over Texas fireworks. One of the larger land based shows in the country. It should be fun. It was gonna be Michelle, Alex, and I .... but as Michelle woke up with a fever, she is skipping out to sleep. Alex and I are still going. We are leaving for downtown around 2. Festival starts at 4. I'm excited. They have a singer coming in at 8 (Clay Walker) and fireworks at 9:30.
Getting back out should be hilarious though. :)
Call or text me. I'll be missing my friends. And I have been missing you guys.
