Globe's Age

USSR still has its territories: Fall of USSR 1990
Germany is in two colors: Fall of the Berlin Wall 1989
Malawi (African Nation): Been around for a long while
Tanzania: Sometime after 1964 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanzania)
Mosambique: Independent from Portugal in 1975 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mosambique)
Upper Volta: French time (1919–1932, 1947–1958), Republic of (1958–1984)
Dahomey: 1960-1975, Renamed Benin in 1975
Ceylon: Sri Lanka Since 1972
Central African Republic: Independent Since 1960
Vietnam: One country but labeled N. and S. Zones
Korea: also one but small line and two colors separating North and South
Equatorial Guinea: Independence from Spain in 1968
Sierra Leone: Independent from UK in 1961, declared a Republic in 1971
Gambia: Independent from UK in 1965, declared a Republic in 1970

Not sure what being Declared a Republic can do .... we'll check on it more later. Now if I did my re-looking right, the following years should be close .... I am thinking that independence doesn't really mean a thing. So the Search continues.

So far ... some time between 1968 and 1972 ....
